Food for the Soul: Chefs & Communities Innovate with Culinary Medicine & Nutrition Education

How do we as Preventive Medicine physicians improve eating habits at both the individual and public health levels? This combined didactic and immersive session will explore innovative models for culinary education that include coaching and best practices to measure the impact of a community-based culinary medicine initiative. We'll have the opportunity to experience these models hands-on, with an on-site culinary medicine session where you'll get to make the recipes yourselves - featuring local, sustainable ingredients for health while learning the core skills for culinary and nutrition education.
